Raising our self awareness and working on the unfolding of our extraordinary selves is the greatest work we can do in this lifetime because it it the only thing we can truly control and therefore master.

Our Online learning
The first I heard of the Extraordinary Minds program was my boss telling me that I’d been signed up to a new management course the company was running. It didn’t strike me as unusual as a young line manager and I’d been on leadership courses before. Our first introduction to Kym and the course was simply shocking, splashes of colour everywhere, discussions about gratitude projects and doing a presentation that showed your own personal creativity. Poem’s, singing, a painting, a sculpture, whatever you like. As I became aware of my own body language I had shuffled a little further back in the room and dragged another chair in front of me, I’d literally created a physical barrier between myself and the presentation. After leaving the presentation I was furious, I went straight to my boss’s office and explained that I was more than willing to spend time learning management techniques and theory but wasn’t up for this ‘touchy feely’, look at me I’m an extrovert garbage. When it came time to login to the portal my password was ‘Wasteoftime2018’, I was certain I wouldn’t forget that login because it sprang to mind every time I thought of the course.
Three modules later and I can honestly say the course changed my life. The phrase is over used and a total cliché but there are concepts from the material that I call upon every – single – day. I believe so strongly in the potential of the program I pushed to ensure my team could have the same experience. Thinking back the course still gives me butterflies, it was profoundly uncomfortable and I shudder to think about doing some of the components again, but in retrospect it is the experiences that stretch you which create potential for growth. Sometimes you just need to take a deep breath and dive in. Thanks again Kym.
